For a boy, what do you think?

The sounds in it are pleasant, but to me it sounds like it could be the name of a French soft cheese roulade.

SleepingStandingUp · 07/07/2020 11:18

@Livpool

I loved this but DH vetoed it. I do watch Supernatural though
What did you go with instead?

Soap here too.

OldEvilOwl · 07/07/2020 11:25

No

AdoreTheBeach · 07/07/2020 11:25

Considering Supernatural as a series is now finished, after a while the name connection will be lost. So if you like the name, go ahead. It was in the bible far longer than the TV series and over time, that’ll be the connection. (Never heard of the soap until reading this thread.)

freeingNora · 07/07/2020 11:29

It's biblical my cover is God I like the Hebrew names it won't age and it sounds nice its a name that will travel well

emmathedilemma · 07/07/2020 11:31

Sorry but i think it's awful! Sounds like it should be an oil company.

APurpleSquirrel · 07/07/2020 11:54

I love Supernatural Grin Love the name too.
My DD is called Arya - yes because of GoT but hey I was named after a book character too so who cares, & I was & still am teased a bit about it? If you like the name, go for it.

APurpleSquirrel · 07/07/2020 11:58

Also Supernatural hasn't finished yet. They still need to complete the last half of the final season once they are allowed to post-Covid, so there will be a few more episodes left to come.

SleepingStandingUp · 07/07/2020 12:01

I did suggest Jenson but dh said no 😂
I am a Supernatural fan but it's more a heard it there father than banned him after the character

Bit cringy because of Supernatural unfortunately, as it's otherwise lovely.

CornedBeef451 · 07/07/2020 12:09

I think this thread is self selecting SPN fans/viewers because of the name, in the wider population very few people would make the connection.

I much prefer the name Castiel to Jensen.

UrsulaPandress · 07/07/2020 12:11

How do you pronounce it?

Livpool · 07/07/2020 12:19

Hi Op - went with Jude in the end. I was very keen on Jensen for quite a while too.

Never wanted Lucifer, Dean or Crowley though 😂

APurpleSquirrel · 07/07/2020 12:29

@UrsulaPandress It's pronounced (in the show) as Cas-te-el.

DesmondTheMoonbear · 07/07/2020 12:38

I'm not a fan and even though I don't watch and have never watched Supernatural, I'd immediately assume that you were a fan.

DesmondTheMoonbear · 07/07/2020 12:39

That is I'm not a fan of the name.

Bouledeneige · 07/07/2020 13:26

Never heard it before. How do you pronounce it? Cast -ee - ell ? Or Casteeel?

MikeUniformMike · 07/07/2020 14:32

A plain no from me. I thought is it Casty-el or Cast-eel, but it sounds like the soap

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 07/07/2020 16:00

Waaaay too much for me tbh.

IHaveBrilloHair · 07/07/2020 16:04

Supernatural.
Dd is a huge fan of the show.

OhYeahYouSuck · 07/07/2020 19:33

Awful and too try hard to be different.

DoTheMaccaroni · 08/07/2020 00:01

My friend has a boy named Castiel. I’ve loved it since I heard it!

Allmyeye · 08/07/2020 01:38

Love Jude.

Buffyanne · 08/07/2020 03:03

It sounds like castle but there is something super cool about it. I like it but probably wouldn't be brave enough to use it.
