Down to two...

My baby boy will be here in a couple of weeks and picking a name has been a thousand times more difficult than we anticipated Shock

We are now down to two names, but like them both equally so would love to hear what others think.

Owen - Nice and neutral, good for a baby and good for a man in my opinion.

Wyatt - You'd think American but it's actually old english and I love the meaning.

Both names go well with surname, which do you prefer?

I actually really like Wyatt but have you seen Ozark on Netflix? I would always say it in my head with a Southern drawl.

Wyatt Owen I do also think sounds great together as a first and middle name

Another vote for Owen. Not keen on Wyatt at all, but of course if you are then that shouldn't matter! Think baby Owen, child Owen and adult Owen all work really well.

Wyatt reminds me of the baby in the original ('90s) Charmed series - they had to use the mother's last name because witches are matriarchal (obviously!), so they gave him the father's surname as a first name.

According to behindthename.com: WYATT: From an English surname that was derived from the medieval given name WYOT. Wyatt Earp (1848-1929) was an American lawman and gunfighter involved in the famous shootout at the OK Corral." So that may account for some of the cowboy associations.

I like it OK, but it seems kind of hard to say. Think I prefer Owen.

Such a mixed bag Shock ...I like Owen because it's 'safe' and nice, but I also like Wyatt because it's not too different but still a little interesting.
Maybe we should wait until he's here and see what he suits. Never thought name choosing would be this hard or stressful!
