I'm in South London and I've heard it used for vagina a good few times. I'm not from here originally so didn't know about it before but it does seem to be pretty common usage.

North east England here and definitely known as the slang word for Vagina. Although I've never used it personally lots of people do.

Minnie however is different. Not only is it slang for a Vag, it would also be really hard being called "Minnie" if you're a broad shouldered girl who is a size 16. I'd say unless you're a naturally waif like size 6, Minnie is going to be a really horrible burden of a name.

Instead of Minnie what about Marnie. A lovely name

Sorry OP, don't really like it. It would probably sound cute for a little one, but probably not when she is an adult.

Willy and Percy is also. Doesn’t stop many people calling their sons William and Percy. Just saying!. There was a Baby Names thread about Percy recently, where the OP decided against it for exactly this reason. William is generally abbreviated to Will, Bill or Billy.

Apart from the slang, Minnie is such a diminutive term. It’s like you are encouraging her to be a timid little wallflower without even giving her a chance.
