Need girl name inspo

You may have read by boy name thread. DH is a nightmare and I can't seem to gauge his style. Interested to get some feedback on the names I like so far and some more suggestions that may be able to win him over with?

I like so far ~ Lois, Sylvie/Sylvia, Jean/Joan, Frances, Nina, Imogen, Felicity, Joy & just added Gloria from another MN's list yesterday.

DH only suggestion ~ Lara (I like but I think it is a bit boring and gets lost in the current names all ending with a a little?)

From your list -
Lois and Frances- dislike. Both quite ugly-sounding imo.
Jean/Joan - sound dated and boring. Many of my 60-something neighbours are called these names!
Joy - don't mind.
Imogen - gets a lot of love on mn but I'm not a fan.
Sylvie/Sylvia - lovely, very pretty.
Gloria - like although it does make me think of Modern Family.
Nina - really like, pretty, works well on all ages.
Felicity- my favourite, beautiful name.

Lara - it's ok. I guess similar names would be Lana, Leila, Lyra, Laura, Zara, Cora if you like any of those?

I had Felicity, Imogen and Lara on my list for DD!
I also had Alexandra, Penelope, Claudia, Florence, Fleur, Niamh, Georgina.

@mintich wow, all of those we have considered! The only one we would be able to use would be Claudia as we know quite a few friends with children with the others. All lovely names! Which did you choose?

I have a little Sylvie. It suits her so much and lots of people comment that she has a pretty name. It was a toss up between Sylvie and Margot for us, Sylvie winning the family vote.

Imogen and Felicity are lovely. Rowe doesn't seem like a name to me plus all those similar R names are so common at the moment, I'd avoid.
How about Greta, Jemima, Cleo, Clementine, Roxanna nn Roxy, Margot Margaret (Maggie)

Joy - I am not a fan of virtue names really. Constance and Verity are ok but I'm not keen on the others. Also I think it's a lot to live up to! What if she wants to be grumpy?!
Gloria - really don't like
Lara - I really like this. I don't think it's boring. I think it's cute and cool. Maybe it's because I only know one (she's 19) and she's great. I also really like Clara and Zara and Cara.

I would go for Felicity or Nina or Lara from your lists.

@Onestepup wow I love almost all of your list! Amazing suggestions. You're definitely on the same wavelength as me with names. I so wish I could win DH over with Josephine or Octavia (he thinks of the Skoda car)
