Hello, me and DH quite like the name Alice for upcoming DD - however we have one concern. Her older brother is called Alex/Alexander, and we was thinking that Alex and Alice might sound too similar, and could get confusing as brother and sister. Do people agree with me on this? Thanks Smile

I disagree that they won't be used in a sentence a lot together. All siblings I know are referred to as Alice and Alex, Sam and Tara, Sarah and John etc.

They are 100% too similar for siblings. What about Elise?

How about Alyssa?

Definitely way too similar. Even if your DS goes by his full name, Alice and Alexander are still too similar. How about:

Amelie
Aria
Elsa
Aimee
Esme

Or you could have Alice as a middle name, that would work fine.

Alice is a nice name. But I do think Alex and Alice are too similar. If DS was called Alexander on a day-to-day basis, that would be different. How about Celia? It’s an anagram of Alice and has a similar feel.
