Emma - bland, dull
Maeve - ok, don’t like it personally
Eloise - like it
Emily - classic if a little dull, like it better than Alice though
Kate - bland, dull
Anya - like it, unusual, Eastern European vibes
Lydia - love it
Alice - classic but a bit dull

Lydia
Emma
Eloise
Emmeline
Anya
Kate

They're all lovely names though and it was tricky to put them in orderSmile

userabcname · 18/06/2020 19:34

I love Anya and also like Lydia. Not keen on the rest.

eyesbiggerthanstomach · 18/06/2020 19:35

Alice, Emma and Kate are my favourite names.

Scottishgirl85 · 19/06/2020 20:44

I'm an Emma and have always loved my name Grin

Emma - ok
Maeve - not for me
Eloise - like
Emily - not really
Kate - ok
Anya - like
Lydia - love
Alice - like but overdone this year.
Emmeline (with the or a? I love with the e!)

emilybrontescorsett · 19/06/2020 20:48

In order;
Lydia
Emmaline
Kate
Eloise
Emma
Anya
Alice
Maeve.

emilybrontescorsett · 19/06/2020 20:49

Missed Emily off, I'd put that after Emma.

weegiemum · 19/06/2020 21:04

I like Kate, I have a Katherine and we call her Kathy but she's Kat to her friends now. It's very versatile.

And she's not, as someone suggested, a middle aged mum or a dinner lady. She's an achingly cool 20 year old Art student! The name is timeless!

SaltnSauce20 · 19/06/2020 21:56

Emma - ok
Maeve - really don't like
Eloise - like
Emily - dull
Kate - ok but prefer Katie
Anya - like
Lydia - like
Alice - like
Emmaline - seems a bit made up, like you have tried to jazz up the name Emma
Just my opinion.

Buttercup54321 · 19/06/2020 22:01

Love Emma and Emily
Prefer Katie to Kate.
Alice also very pretty and so is Sophie.
Also love Elizabeth xx

CaffiSaliMali · 19/06/2020 22:20

Emma - a nice classic, bit dull
Maeve - I like this
Eloise - pretty, feels current
Emily - a nice classic, bit dull
Kate - another nice classic, I would use Katharine on BC - feels ripe for a revival
Anya - I love this, simple, pretty and has an international feel (Anna, Annie and Ann also nice)
Lydia - pretty and not overly common
Alice - I have the Welsh version, Alys, on my list so can't criticise this one Smile
Emmeline - nice, makes me think of the suffragette

Anya is my favourite (on the grounds that I prefer the Alys spelling of Alice). Anya hits the sweet spot of a name which feels current (short and vowel heavy), is well known, but not overused - so unusual, but without being really out there.
