My fiance and I are quite set on the name Oikawa, any suggestions on what might go well with that. Oikawa isn't certain so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Flowers

My twin brothers have pretty standard names...Think on the lines of" Terry and Jerry".

Can I ask How you pronounce , Oikawa?
Perhaps another "O " starting name?

TeddyBeans · 17/06/2020 01:08

I know a little boy called Takumi

Do you want a theme OP? Matching first initial, amount of syllables etc?

HollsLolls · 17/06/2020 01:24

Do you want a Japanese name?

Oi - kah - wah
I like unique names but not super out there, no it doesn't have to be Japanese my fiance is half Japanese and we thought it would be nice to acknowledge his heritage :)
Preferably more than one syllable but open to all suggestions!

My cousin is half Japanese and his middle name is Yuta :)

TheGirlWhoLived · 20/06/2020 22:33

I do think that if you go Japanese for one then you can’t really have e.g. George for the other without it sounding quite unusual

SpaghettiBalonzaise · 21/06/2020 01:31

Some gorgeous Japanese names people have suggested.

Agree that if you're giving one child a Japanese name as a nod to heritage, it would be nice to give the other child a Japanese name too

Good luck with your decision from all those lovely names!

I love Koji, Akari and Izumi

bluemoon2468 · 21/06/2020 05:40

I like Reiden, Hiroshi, Akira, Kobe, Ren and Sora. Oikawa and Ren or Oikawa and Reiden are probably my favourite combinations 😊

WaxOnFeckOff · 21/06/2020 13:40

I know a half Japanese boy Tomoki, Tom for short.

Could have Tomoki and Benjiro, Tom and Ben for everyday :) a nod to japanese heritage but also names that fit in with UK heritage too.
