I love these names but are they too much to live up too?

Would consider Zeus for DS2.

Apollo is great.
Zeus is just too too. It's kind of weird that it is, but it just doesn't work.
Great cat names kittyminny.

You'll look demented yelling those names across a playground!

Going against the grain but I like them both and don't actually think they're too much.

One of the husbands on RHOA is called Apollo and it's never made me stop and think "bloody hell, what were his parents thinking?".

PurpleFrames · 15/06/2020 23:15

Only good names for a dog

DramaAlpaca · 15/06/2020 23:17

Way too much.

ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords · 15/06/2020 23:24

The dobermans in Magnum P.I.

Ladybyrd · 15/06/2020 23:25

Yes.

DamnYankee · 15/06/2020 23:35

No to both.
My hairdresser's sister named her kid Adonis. Sad

Mumoflittles · 15/06/2020 23:37

Love them both

7dayslater · 15/06/2020 23:38

I think they're great names. Both were on the list for DS.

Then again, I prefer a less 'traditional' name.

HotSince82 · 15/06/2020 23:38

Fuck it.

I'd love to be named Zeus and I'm a girl.

Go for it.

Whataloadofshite · 15/06/2020 23:39

Naming threads on MN never fail to deliver.

Zeus is a bit much.

How about:
Ares
Alexander
Perseus
Leander
Lysander
Phillip

GrumpyHoonMain · 15/06/2020 23:49

I prefer Zeus to Apollo but both are pretty solid boys names.

copperoliver · 16/06/2020 00:29

Yes. Sound like cats. X

DancingWithTheDevil · 16/06/2020 03:15

Way too much.

frenchfancy81 · 16/06/2020 03:54

I know an adult Apollo . He’s a great big rugby playing type and totally rocks the name! Do it!

HappydaysArehere · 16/06/2020 04:35

No don’t do it.

WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat · 16/06/2020 04:47

Apollo - fine if he's a rocket.
Zeus - great if he is to become a javelin thrower.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 16/06/2020 04:51

Please don't.

I like unusual/quirky names but these are a step too far!

Pleasenodont · 16/06/2020 08:38

Nice for a cat or dog, not so much for a human.

emilybrontescorsett · 16/06/2020 09:16

Damyankee OMG 😬😬😬
How will he ever live up to that name?
I hope he is extremely attractive and lucky enough to have the body type of an athlete (the term escapes me but it's the athletics type) hypothermia he is in for a lifetime of suffering.

emilybrontescorsett · 16/06/2020 09:17

Hypothermia= otherwise
