Is it naff? I think it sounds so pretty but I'm concerned that it sounds a bit naff. Any ideas on nicknames?

Love it too. (It does not sound, even one bit, like it has anything to do with genitalia)

I do think it’s naff. Bland, frilly, got too many soft sounds and sounds princessy. The orally link occurs to me too, though that’d be worse if it was Aurelie. Aurelia is better than that.

Too frilly for me but I knew of one and it suited her 😁

Thank you very much for the feedback. Some interesting suggestions too. Our other girl name is Sophia but I know it's incredibly popular so I was looking for a slightly more unusual name. I love Matilda but DH doesn't. Maya also an option. I obviously like the a sound. I used to teach an Aurora so not for me!

I'm the person who rhymes it loosely with genitalia. I say it in the same way it's said in love actually. Beautiful name. But easily negatively rhymed. At least where I live. If I lived in a "posher" place maybe I'd not understand the rhyme at all, like others don't. But without any doubt- it would be mocked here. Sadly because it's beautiful

It's beautiful. I know one eight-year-old, Aurelia - pronounced Au-ray-lia.

Not keen, I just think of areola tbh!

I like it. Other possibilities:

Thalia
Anouk
Evalina
