DD1 middle name is India.
Really love the name Indie but feel weird using it for DD2? Opinions please. Other opinion is Aurelia

No, it is too close. Practically the same. You cannot use Indie.

Who cares what anyone thinks. You love it and I think you’d regret not using it.
You named Dd2 after Dd1.
My children both have the same middle name.
Go for it.

My DH first name is his big brothers middle name. Never an issue and unless is hyphenated then go for it.

Hi. I think Rose will go lovely with India. "Hi these are my two girls, India and Rose." Or India and Parys.

They're definitely too similar, and DD2 might end up feeling disappointed that her name isn't her own - she pretty much shares it with her sister. Likewise, DD1 may be upset that her name has been copied/recycled.

Sorry if it wasn’t clear -
DD1 middle name is India.

DD2 we are considering Indie as a first name.

Thank you for opinions so far!

Go with it. How often do you use a middle name. Most people won’t even know.

iwilltaketwoplease · 10/06/2020 12:19

Go for it, we rarely use our middle names anyway.

Unless you routinely use her middle name (e.g. Lauren-India time for dinner) then use Indie.

I have a very similar middle name to my sister and it's never come up.
