I love it

I think of Aloe Vera. Not great when greeting someone of that name.

I think it's OK, not awful, not my favourite. It has a nice meaning. Since I found out about the more common pronunciation in the rest of Europe (more like Verra or Vaira than Veera), I prefer that pronunciation. However Veera will of course be the default if you're in the UK.

(The trouble with people saying "it's as bad as Maud" or "it's a not-pretty name, like Mavis" is that some people like those names or find them pretty. I genuinely like Mavis. Maud isn't bad. Don't like Bertha though because it makes me think of "birther"!)

Same category as Mavis, Maud and Doris. Not one I'd like to hear comeback personally.

I really like it. I think it's an 'older' name that could make a come back.

Think about all the Ada's, Ida's, Evelyn's, Mabel's etc..

They have made a comeback and I think a little Vera would be sweet to make a comeback

I dont mind it. I knew one would was the loveliest most generous women so good associations. I'd pronounce it Vee-rah. Pretty meaning too. Much prefer it to names like Olivia and variations of Bella/Belle which are popular round me at the moment.

Vera is a popular Russian name. It means Believing

It's lovely and deserves to make a comeback like other granny names.

I absolutely love it. I like all the pronunciations but Verra/Vaira are really beautiful.
