Hi all, my sister is due in mid July and has asked for opinions on her shortlist

Eliza- her husbands mother was Elizabeth who sadly passed last year. If they go for any of the others they want Elizabeth as mn
Matilda
Tess
Maeve
Charlotte

Eliza is a gorgeous name, I'd choose that if it's a favourite and is in tribute to baby's paternal grandmother. Eliza Charlotte is a lovely pairing if they want to use one of the others as a middle name.

I like a Eliza Maeve best

The only one I'm not keen on is Maeve- love Eliza and Tess and Matilda and charlotte!

I love the name Eliza. I would go for Eliza Maeve!

Tess is very underused!

Maeve is my favourite, with Matilda a close second, both would go well with Elizabeth. I’m not keen on Eliza, it’s too My Fair Lady for me.

I know two Elizas. One is E-leeza and the other is E-lie-za. Guaranteed I’ll say the wrong version every time I see either of them.

I like Maeve and Charlotte. Hate Eliza and Matilda - make me think of mousy little women.

Eliza Maeve or Maeve Elizabeth

Eliza is lovely and a lovely idea to pay tribute to her Grandma. The other names are all nice. Charlotte is quite popular but could also work well as a middle name with Eliza. Maeve may be misspelled sometimes but has a lovely sound to it. I like Tess but feel like it needs a longer name behind it

Eliza is gorgeous and firmly on my list. Treads the line between being instantly recogniseable, everyone knows how to say and spell it, but not too common. beautiful

I like Charlotte and Tess. Eliza is to Hamilton for me personally.
