Just posting after this lovely suggestion from a Mumsnetter to see what you think?

I think I love it a little and have found it hard to love a name yet. I wanted something quite chic and underused, which was what my original post was seeking.

I don't like it. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not my taste.

Neednewwellies · 21/05/2020 22:04

I love it. In a similar vein I also love Audrey and Daphne.

DramaDromedary · 21/05/2020 22:05

Oh I haven’t heard Lois for ages. I love it.

JKSN · 21/05/2020 22:06

I really like it!

Grandmi · 21/05/2020 22:08

Yes it’s a lovely name.

AdvoCat · 21/05/2020 22:29

There’s one at my son’s nursery. It’s a nice name.

pinkpinecone · 21/05/2020 22:33

It's nice, Lo is a nice nn and I like how it looks when it's written

TheBitchOfTheVicar · 21/05/2020 22:34

Love it

justanotherneighinparadise · 21/05/2020 22:38

I liked it but I was concerned people would pronounce it Lewis. Then I realised that even if they pronounced it correctly they’d always be an association with a toilet and maybe he’d get bullied. So I went with something else 🤦🏻‍♀️

villamariavintrapp · 21/05/2020 22:48

Love it

AdvoCat · 21/05/2020 22:48

@justanotherneighinparadise why a toilet association if you don't mind me asking?

I think she's talking about Louis?

Lurleene · 21/05/2020 22:50

I wanted to call my DD Lois but her dad vetoed it. I think it's a lovely name.

schnubbins · 21/05/2020 22:53

lovely

user1493494961 · 21/05/2020 23:00

In Wales, Lois is pronounced Loyce (or something like that, a Welsh speaker will be along to correct me).

AdvoCat · 21/05/2020 23:01

@user1493494961 that'll be me lol! I've heard it pronounced both ways here. We'd go with Low-is.

As long as your last name isn't Lane, it's great.

Oly4 · 21/05/2020 23:03

Gorgeous name

DramaAlpaca · 21/05/2020 23:04

I love it, it does have that elegant, chic feeling and is very underused. I've only ever met one, she was lovely and a bit quirky if that helps Grin

WhoWhatWheree · 21/05/2020 23:05

It’s my middle name and I hate itHmm

saverssavedsavanak · 21/05/2020 23:08

It's the name of my best friend who is the most wonderful human being in the world so it's a yes from me. Beautiful name ❤️

Kokeshi123 · 22/05/2020 03:12
