@Lavenderblues Matt EE as yes this is how I’ve been saying it actully

Having seen your above post on how to pronounce Tareyon, I'd say I'm not a fan. Rayon (pronounced the same as the second part of Ta-reyon) is a cheap fabric used to imitate silk, etc. By the sounds of things your kid isn't going to grow up imitation anything! (I mean that nicely - you clearly intend for your son very much to forge his own identity judging by how much consideration you've put into his name Smile )

K1mberlylauren · 15/05/2020 22:52

I don’t agree with you, you can break any name down like you just did. I have my name list now thanks anyway :)

I like Cassius

whatausername · 15/05/2020 22:57

Maybe I'm putting the stress on the wrong part of the name? I was stressing -reyon so that's why I made the link with the fabric.

So you've got your final 4 now? You know after all this you have to come back and tell us when he's here and which name won out in the end! Grin

Matthias - my favourite
Eliyas - nice, but prefer Elias spelling
Cassius - ok
Alex(ander)- perfectly respectable but a bit boring

Not keen on the others

Malysh · 16/05/2020 22:08

For what it's worth Mathias is what I picked for my son (also to be born anytime now). Still thinking of the middle name though !

Elias was also on my list so maybe we have similar tastes.

Not a fan of Tareyon, I understand your desire to have something really unusual but this one is a little too original for me. Though I do like Darian, which sounds a little bit similar.

K1mberlylauren · 16/05/2020 23:16

Oh really, that’s such a coinsidence.
Yeh they are lovely names
I prefer Eliyas spelt this way, its heberew, as my daughters name is Aswel.

Nah don’t like Darien.
I’m letting my husband choose lol .
Good luck when are u due x

Matthias - Nice but 2 ways of saying it

Tareyon - No
Alex ?? - yes
Lashiah - no

emilybrontescorsett · 17/05/2020 21:11

Matthias is my favourite, he can use Matt or Matty then.

K1mberlylauren · 17/05/2020 23:08

One thing I don’t understand is why do people think the child’s name has to be shortened !?! I don’t like shortening names!
I personally don’t like it even my own name no one calls me Kim !!

I'm not a fan of short forms either, and my 3 syllable name never gets shortened!

K1mberlylauren · 18/05/2020 22:37
