Middle for Havana

We are trying to stay on the brave side and use this name we have both loved and holds an actual meaning and connection to us.

Havana
Havana Louise - basic?
Havana Grace - basic again?
Havana Elise - I have a relative named Elisa (30s) so not too sure about this one even if it flows nicely *
*
We are struggling with middle names and even getting cold feet to actually go through with the name. Our other names were a little bit more out there.

Saskia
Georgia
Bronwen (we are not welsh)
Fiona (only problem is actually Shrek)
Cressida
Frida

Will our other DC need to have place-related names? To be honest we do quite like the theme but we are not sure how weird that'd be but also how odd it would be to have "Havana and Thomas" or something as our DC if we don't go with the theme.

Havana is nice but Frida is gorgeous!

NewName54321 · 14/05/2020 20:24

One-syllable names, not beginning with a vowel or end in /a/ seem to flow best.

Love Havana Marie.

Also Havana Jade.

Havana Kate
Havana Beth
Havana Ruth
Havana Jayne
would fit the pattern as well.

Hav, which they pronounce like HAVE which is hideous, I would have thought it would be H-ah-v- like the welsh name Haf which is a gorgeous name.) The other I don’t know if they have a nickname, they were in my kid’s summer club years ago.

FourPlasticRings · 14/05/2020 20:35

Havana oohnahnah??

So glad someone else said it. Grin

ElectricTonight · 14/05/2020 20:45

Havana Morgan
Havana Marie
Havana Felicity
Havana Jolene
Havana May
Havana Anne
Havana Rose

My granddaughter is named Havana, and I'll admit I had a few 'thoughts' on the subject myself ( not that it was any of my business of course) but actually she hasn't been teased or had any daft comments.
She does tend to get called Vanna though because she couldn't say her name properly when she was really little.

kimlo · 14/05/2020 20:53

I like it. I know one.

Havana Elizabeth
Havana Charlotte
Havana Abigail
Havana Kate

123Dancewithme · 14/05/2020 21:33

It makes me think of Cuban cigars. Some of the other names on your list like Frida are much nicer!

CuppaZa · 14/05/2020 21:37

Lovely name! Personally I think the middle name should be one syllable. Anything more than one sounds silly and doesn’t roll of your tongue well.
I like
Havana Rose
Havana Grace
Havana Leigh (not keen on the spelling but I like the sound)

WaxOnFeckOff · 14/05/2020 21:40

Havana Blythe
Havana Zoe
Havana Estelle
Havana Simone

WaxOnFeckOff · 14/05/2020 21:41

Lorna instead of Fiona for your reserve list?

peperethecat · 14/05/2020 21:45

Havana Clue

user1493494961 · 14/05/2020 21:50

I would go with one of your other choices (apart from Frida). I just think of cigars.

tiredanddangerous · 14/05/2020 21:53

I came by to type oooohnana but I’ve been beaten to it Sad

Amimissingsomethinghere · 14/05/2020 21:55

Havana Isla
Havana Alice
Havana Emma
Havana Elizabeth
Havana Sophia

whatausername · 14/05/2020 21:57

Marie and Simone are my favourites.

Celine (or the similar Salen, pronounced Sah-leen)
Therese
Lucy
Chloe
Joan
Catherine
Violet

percheron67 · 14/05/2020 22:06

Cigar?

Bubbletrouble43 · 14/05/2020 22:21

Havana grace is great, I like it.

Ellmau · 14/05/2020 22:31

Havana Lil (sounds like the legendary owner of a bar in a dodgy part of town known for its wild parties and great music.)

TBJ almost all middle names after Havana sound a bit like Havana's a nickname or pseudonym.

Cressida is lovely.

helpmum2003 · 14/05/2020 22:51

I like Louise or Grace as middle name for Havana.
I prefer your other first names though... I'd use Havana as the middle name.

MyMonkeyIsATwat · 14/05/2020 22:53

Havana Lisa

Havana Willow

Havana Pearl

Havana Helena

Carouselfish · 15/05/2020 15:07

I had that name on my list and now you mention it, it IS really hard to come up with a middle for it!
Lovely name though.

One syllable a good idea. Quite like the S sound following it.

BabyDancer · 17/05/2020 14:01

I just wanted to say how awesome I think the name Havana is! Great choice.

Cindie943811A · 18/05/2020 00:30

Havana Ruth
Havana Kate
Havana Elise
Good name — looks nice when written and has a soft sound.
Sounds from the small sample on this thread that there are a few others out there so not too daring a choice.

TheTroutofNoCraic · 18/05/2020 16:15

I know of a fair few little girls and teenagers called Havana in the Travelling community. They all seem to have one syllable second names like Rose, Grace or Pearl.
