I disagree it is quite an up and coming baby name currently, very short and sweet with a longer paper name like very parent loves

Penelope and Alexander. Lovely both in full and as penny and Alex.

I love Blythe. Being of a certain generation I just think of Margot Leadbetter from the Good Life who was a snobbish housewife from the suburbs. I have a friend called Penny who is over 60 so can't see past that.
I think Theodore is way too popular and Louis is OK but Alexander would get my vote as it's timeless.

Margot - seems to be a lot of them, sounds classy but I always read it as mar got
Penelope - it's ok, a bit of a mouthful
Blythe - I like it, it's pretty and sophisticated

Alexander - I like it, great strong name. I think people called Alex are generally sensible and intelligent
Theodore - love it, lots of short versions too
Louis - never know whether to say like lewis or looey

Really dislike Theodore

Blythe and Louis (pronounced properly otherwise Alexander).
