Echo

I am watching a film on Netflix named Saving Zoë and the two main girls on it are sisters named well Zoë and Echo.

I had never thought of Echo as a name but the more I heard it being said by the people on the film and actually seeing someone go through life with it (even if it was just on film) made it sound even more real. Not sure I'd put if on my list of top choices but definitely got me thinking

What do you think of it?

The only Echoes I know are Chinese women who (inexplicably) choose it as their "English name".

She would end up in prison at the age of 40. After a lifetime of jokes she finally snapped at work after nipping into the office and John from accounts saying "is there an echo in here" for the ten thousandth time, leading her to shove his calculator up his arse before beating him to death with his stapler.

Is that what you want for your child? Is it?

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I love it Blush I seem to remember hearing it on a film once but can’t remember what now.

I saw Echo mentioned in a Facebook name article and in the comments there was a thread of people names Echo who were all excited to see their name mentioned and ‘meet’ others with their name. As far as I remember most if not all loved their name!

00100001 · 08/05/2020 22:28

As longas you don’t mind subjecting yourself and child to people repeating their name a few times and laughing at their hilarious joke for the rest of your and the child’s life... then go for it.

I know one, but it's spelt differently, Ekow I think. He's Nigerian. It's a great name.
