Classy and meaningful?

We are considering Allegra for DD1.. I play piano and I feel that the meaning of joyful and happy is lovely along with the musical ties. What do you think of Allegra?

I would imagine you were either very posh, or trying to sound very posh. She will probably get Leggy at school no matter what you call her at home.

It’s always been one of my favourite names but with no Italian or musical connections in our family it felt a pretentious choice to me so I vetoed.

I think it’s an absolutely beautiful and very classy name OP

I wouldn’t personally use it but that just comes down to individual taste. It’s pretty, known but still unique at least in this country, if you love the associated meanings especially I’d say go for it X
