Help with girls list (part two)

Hello again everyone,

I wrote two threads of girls and boys names recently for your feedback. I think we are pretty much set for boys names and like all three of our options so will decide when we see him, if DC is a boy.

Girls names, on the other hand, have been a task. I'm not sure whether you read my last list but if not, it included Theodora, Dorothy, Vivienne, Felicity, Imogen, Frances and Lara.

DH decided that he had gone off the majority of them, due to them being "too fussy" 🙄 so we spent a lot of time reading through lots of the other threads for some inspiration over the weekend.

DH likes:

Edith
Claudia
Martha
(And will still consider my favourite name from the previous list, Felicity)

What are your thoughts on the additions to the list please? You were all so helpful on the last one!

🤞🏼☺️

Don't like Edith or Martha, they're too old fashioned for me.

LOVE Claudia.

Felicity is okay but becoming very popular.

Helskitchen · 04/05/2020 12:32

@lotusclover thanks so much. Claudia is really growing on me.

We have had similar conversations about Edith and Martha as to whether they are too "old lady" style which is of course a current trend. Something to consider for sure. Thank you!

Martha is my favourite

I also had Mara on my list which is similar but different

Helskitchen · 04/05/2020 13:27

@Rebelwithallthecause Thank you, Mara is lovely too. I had Lara on our original list ☺️

You forget about the old lady vibe once you meet a little Edith or Martha. They're just lovely names

Helskitchen · 04/05/2020 14:10

@whatsyourflava that's true, I only know of an older Martha and no Edith's so again, it's down to association isn't it.

If DD is anything like me she will have a head full of dark curls, so I always try and visualise it. DH did once have dark hair, apparently I made it fall out 😂🤷🏽‍♀️

I know 4 baby Ediths born in the last year so think it’s becoming much more popular (London).
Love Martha - haven’t met any little ones with that name but know a couple my age (mid 30s)

Helskitchen · 04/05/2020 18:29

@Unbreakable2017 thank you, that's good to know. Martha has the edge for me, over Edith.

Thank you all for your input.

DH has suggested Audrey this morning. I've already got Audrey Hepburn vibes, which isn't a bad thing. What do you think?

Felicity if lovely but the others on the new list are awful in my opinion!
