Nature Based girls names

I really like Robin/Robyn.

Elowen is nice too but I’m not sure if it’s a bit of a mouthful. Plus we’re not
Cornish.

OH likes Ember and Briar (I’m not a fan of Briar, sounds too much like Brian 😂)

Any other suggestions? Something different and pretty but not too ‘out there’

Willow Rose Amber Daisy Flora

Blathnaid (pronounced blah-ned) is the Irish for flower

Whatsyourflava · 03/05/2020 11:44

There's SO many lovely nature based girls names. I'll get a list and come back.

How about Clementine or Hebe or Jasmine or Saffron or Ivy or Iris or Classic 'Rose' or Daisy

It seems like your DH is wanting more unusual names maybe?

Robyn I really like. Robin I think is a boys name.
Elowen is ok but there's so many "E" names that start with "El" I think it looses it shine gas will get shortened to El or Ellie) and I think it will get misheard and misspelt.

There's a million flower names

  • Rose, Poppy, Lily, Iris, Jasmine, Violet, Peony, Daphne, Holly (maybe that last one is more for December babies!).

Ember I think would get confused with Amber a lot.

Elowyn/Elowen is quite nice, but as mentioned will probably get shortened to El/Ellie or Win/Wyn/Wynnie.

Other nature names:

Angelica
Bryony
Fern
Fleur
Hazel
Willow
Jade
Ngaire
Olive
Rosemary

Some of those a bit more out there than others!
