What do you think of Rose? (Second name will be Elizabeth) sure name starts with H.
Is it too plain? I like it but not sure.. any suggestions? (avoiding names with E or L in them- both sisters have names with those letters 🤦🏽‍♀️)
Thank you!

It is my favourite girl’s name and I would almost certainly have used it if I had had a girl! Our surname starts with D and I was thinking of using Rose Elizabeth, so she could be Rose Red - but she also might have been Rose Stephanie.

Love Rose Elizabeth and it goes well with sibling names

LotusClover · 29/04/2020 11:01

I prefer Rosanna or Rosalie with Rose for short, but Rose by itself is gorgeous too.

Meadows20 · 29/04/2020 11:30

If we were having a girl we would have called her Rose...lovely name. Admittedly, we both said she would end up being called Rosie but we had no issue with that :)

MsChatterbox · 29/04/2020 11:36

Love it. I wanted it but hubby didn't. So we're using it as a middle (Eloise Rose)

DrinkingInTheNightGarden · 29/04/2020 16:06

I think the word itself isn't particularly pretty and does sound a bit dull but what it stands for i.e. the flower makes it pretty. My favourite flowers are roses so I do try to be objective about it :-)

It’s just the most beautiful name

Tutina02 · 29/04/2020 17:17

Thank you all! If it’s a girl we are definitely going with Rose. That’s done.
Please help me with boys names!!!
Siblings are Emily, Ben & Ellena. I would like the name to be more the 1 syllable.
Any ideas? Thank you!

I love the same rose. I dont think it matters if a name is "too plain" which rose isnt, i think that the child makes the name what it really is as they grow a personality. I also love Rose as a middle name.

MsChatterbox · 30/04/2020 05:56

If you like Luke but want more than one syllable, how about Luca?

Marimari93 · 01/05/2020 09:37

Roses are gorgeous they smell divine and are wonderful flowers but as a name it has become a bit tedious, especially as a middle name.

Rose is stunning, and I much prefer it as a first name.
