Lucy

I'm a Lucy, so I'll admit I popped in to see what people think of my name. (Wet???!)

My lovely nan named me Lucy. She said that it was a name that was suitable for any age.

For what it's worth I think Poppy is super cute for a little girl, too. I prefer Lucy but I'm biased, obviously. Grin

I actually love both names unusual on here

I wanted DD2 to be Poppy, but my husband vetoed it. Lucy is a lovely name. Easy to pronounce but not overly common.

Lucy!

I have a 20 year old lucy who is lovely but I am biased! It was super popular 20 years ago and she has several friends with the same name. Nicknames over the years have been juicy lucy, lucy pucy, lucy locket and Luce Smile

Lucy by a very long way, just gorgeous.

Poppy is so cutesy and twee it makes my teeth itch. It sounds like an adjective describing a popping noise. I don't even think of the flower when I hear it, it's just a noise to me.

Both are really wet!

Lucy if I had to pick.

Hagisonthehill · 29/04/2020 00:45

Poppy is not a good name for an adult.
Lucy is better.
