I love Sadie.

Aurelia is ok but pretty try-hard.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 27/04/2020 20:18

Sadie.

veeboo · 27/04/2020 20:21

I've just had a Sadie so I am biased. People seem to love it too.

noavailablename · 27/04/2020 20:22

Sadie is lovely. It is a diminutive of Sarah.

Whatsyourflava · 27/04/2020 20:24

I love both so much 🙈 sorry not much help but you’ve got 2 lovely names there and no way is Sadie too plain. There’s actually not that many “S” names about so it sounds very special. As does Aurelia

AllTheWhoresOfMalta · 27/04/2020 20:28

I have a Sadie and always get compliments on it. I wouldn’t say it’s plain In that it’s common; she’s the only one I know but I suppose it is a diminutive of Sarah which is a plain name I like Aurelia in of itself but it’s too much in my opinion.... it would be hard to pull off where I live anyway.

thequeenbeyondthewall · 27/04/2020 20:40

I live Aurelia it's gorgeous.

123Dancewithme · 27/04/2020 22:03

Aurelia and Aurora are getting trendy where I live. I prefer Sadie.

Rubywhox · 27/04/2020 22:09

Sadie is cool
I really don’t like Aurelia

Hornbeamer · 27/04/2020 22:11

Aurelia is my middle name I love it - my mum is French. There's also Aurelie which is nice

Waitingforadulthood · 27/04/2020 22:13

I LOVE aurelia but decided against it as my friend pointed out it can (not how I say it, but still) rhyme with genitalia AND is close to areola.

Sadie is very pretty

AllRainbowsAndUnicorns · 27/04/2020 22:18

I prefer Aurelia.

Sadie makes me think of sadist.

bridgetreilly · 27/04/2020 22:21

They're very different, imo. I prefer Sadie.

LotusClover · 27/04/2020 22:27

I still haven't got a clue how Aurelia is pronounced. For that reason alone I would choose Sadie.

sergeilavrov · 27/04/2020 22:28

I love Aurelia, but I don't really understand why it's try hard!

pilates · 27/04/2020 22:28

Sadie is much better

JustStayHome · 27/04/2020 22:30

Sadie

Missingthesea · 27/04/2020 22:32

I love Aurelie, with a e rather than an a at the end.

DodgyTrousers · 27/04/2020 22:32

You have to go with Sadie...

It's my name 😂😂😂

MrsBungle · 27/04/2020 22:32

I like Sadie but I prefer Aurelia

Waitingforadulthood · 27/04/2020 22:33

Horn- I'm sorry I hadn't meant to be rude about your name, and I genuinely love it, I was just stating my own considerations and why I decided against it. You have a beautiful middle name

frenchfancy81 · 27/04/2020 22:33

Aurelia is a bit much in my opinion and I feel like she'd need to be stunningly beautiful to pull it off as an adult, which might sound strange or shallow (or both). Sadie to me is boring. BUT choose whichever name you like the best- as soon as a baby is named, that's just them and you can't imagine them being called anything else. Waffling- apologies!Smile

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 27/04/2020 22:36

I've an Aurelia she's 9 and we haven't come across one in person yet. I loved the film Love Actually so we got the name from there.

user1493494961 · 27/04/2020 23:06

Sadie, Aurelia is a bit 'frilly'.

Ellmau · 28/04/2020 15:15

Aurelia is much nicer imo.
