Like Seth. Love Ned, but only as a nn. Really not keen on Travis.

BelfastNonBlonde · 22/04/2020 06:33

Seth is nice, but I don’t like the others sorry. Bed and Travis don’t have longevity to me.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 22/04/2020 06:34

Seth makes me think of Seth Green. I like Seth Green Smile

Ned is a nickname.

Travis are a dull band.

BaroleCaskin · 22/04/2020 06:34

Love Seth, not keen on the others

AnyaMoondial · 22/04/2020 06:38

I like Seth and Travis.

Peachbubble · 22/04/2020 06:41

I like Ned and Seth, not keen on Travis.

MrsBungle · 22/04/2020 06:42

Like Seth, don’t like the others.

goodthanks · 22/04/2020 06:43

Ned in Scotland is basically the equivalent to a chav. It stands for non-educated delinquent.

Whatsyourflava · 22/04/2020 07:13

Love all 3! Seth is lovely. Ned I really like too and know a little boy with this name. Travis probably least favourite as don’t like nn Trav. How about Tristan?

OhTheRoses · 22/04/2020 07:16

Ned is a nickname, often for Edward.
Dislike the other names.

AmelieTaylor · 22/04/2020 07:17

Seth - old bloke (Emmerdake years ago)
Ned - a donkey
Travis - personal reasons this makes me ill

Sorry, but you asked for honesty if you said your DS was called one of these names,I'd smile & say 'that's lovely' and it would be, because it would become him iyswim

Don't worry what others think if you like it 🌷

MyFamilyAndOtherAnimals1 · 22/04/2020 07:18

N.E.D. - Non-Educated-Delinquent

Whereland · 22/04/2020 07:19

Seth is alright. Don't like the others

Astronica · 22/04/2020 07:20

I really like Ned. A neat, cool name, unpretentious, friendly.

I'm not keen on the others - Seth is awkward to say, and I find its sounds unappealing. And OT names risk having a red-neck feel to me.

Travis seems dated to me. Don't think I liked it when current though either.

PatchworkElmer · 22/04/2020 07:25

Ned is ok if short for Edward. Seth is too wishy-washy for me. I don’t like Travis at all (sorry!)

daisypond · 22/04/2020 07:35

I’m not keen on any.
At a push, Seth - but it’s a style of OT name that is so dated to the 1990s. Now so common and the demographic has changed.
Ned is a nickname for an Ed name - Edward, Edmund, Edgar etc. It’d be good if short for those.
Not Travis, I don’t think. Not sure what I feel about it.

LadyGAgain · 22/04/2020 07:38

Seth is hard work for anyone with a lisp!
Travis is very American sounding.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 22/04/2020 07:41

Seth is ok, Ned as others have said is an abbreviation and my sister had a cat called Travis, so I will always associate the name (fondly) with him.

SnowdropFox · 22/04/2020 07:49

My favourite from your list is Seth. I'm Scottish and so yeah, Ned would be out for me.

SylvanianFrenemies · 22/04/2020 07:54

Ned is out if your child might ever want to live in or visit Scotland.
Not terribly keen on any of them tbh, but prefer Travis to Seth.

OnlyJudyCanJudgeMe · 22/04/2020 07:54

Seth is a good, sturdy Biblical name.
Ned (Flanders) is what we Scots call a chav/ delinquent etc.
Travis isn’t bad but too American for MY taste.

converseandjeans · 22/04/2020 08:08

Don't like any of those sorry.

Southwesterly · 22/04/2020 08:11

Seth is fine, Travis is Godawful.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 22/04/2020 08:20

Adore Seth. Wanted it for DS but hubby vetoed.

Ned is more nicknamey to me. Could you go with Edward and NN him Ned?

Travis is a totally different style of name. Personally, not my taste. Have a hunch it will probably date badly.

MikeUniformMike · 22/04/2020 09:25

Seth - not keen. There are nicer biblical names, and nicer names of the same sort of length

Ned - look it up. Ed short for Edward, Edmund, Edgar or Edwin is nicer, or how about Red.

Travis - the band, Dave Lee. Just No.
