Milo, Rilo or Arlo?

Hello!

My husband and I are having such a hard time finding a boy's name! For girls, we love names ending -a (Maya, Layla etc) and the ones we seem to like for boys end in -o.

We love Milo and Arlo, which I know are both pretty popular at the moment. We're also tempted by Rilo, as it's not unlike 'Riley' and reminds us of a band that is very special to us (called Rilo Kiley). However, we're a bit worried that it sounds too 'made up?'

What would you choose out of these three? And are there any other names like these that you've heard?

Thanks so much!

I think if you both like Rilo go for it!
There are plenty of names that don't sound like names when you first hear it but just becomes the norm. Its different and unique, if you think that goes with your family then it's okay

I know multiple dogs called Milo and Arlo. Rilo is also 100% made up.

How about Hugo?

I kind of like Rilo actually. It’s be weird for about five minutes when you first met the child and then you’d stop noticing. It’s quite a cool sound and I like the band connection.

I like Roscoe

Milo is ok if you never leave the UK - otherwise it's a very well known chocolate drink - the equivalent of calling your child "Nesquik"!

If you like short names ending in "O", maybe try Bruno, Carlo, Claudio, Dario, Enrico, Enzo, Flavio, Marco, Mario, Marlo, Matteo, Nico, or Otto?

Cosmo is nice, and I like Nero too, but with the Italian pronunciation.

Milo is in the shops where I live. Green tin. I think it might be a bit like Ovaltine.
