Middle name for Charlotte / Lottie

We have decided on Charlotte if we have a girl, but she will always be known to us as Lottie.

We were going to have Charlotte Elizabeth as that is the name of both of our grandparents. It also works well with both Charlotte and Lottie. Then I realised that this is Princess Charlotte's name and I feel people would assume that's why we picked it and I think that would irritate me! Here are our other suggestions:

Our last name is Jamieson.

Nobody will know it’s princess Charlotte’s full name and it honours both grandmothers, so stick with Charlotte Elizabeth (or lottie Lizzie!)

My Dd is Charlotte Elizabeth, a few years older than Princess Charlotte. But it’s two long names for a child to learn to spell. Whilst I love her name if I’d thought about it she would have had a shorter middle name.

I think Charlotte Elizabeth is fine. No one knows the royals’ middle names. Elizabeth has meaning to you. I think you should stick with it.

Or maybe a derivative like Eliza or Elise?

I've always liked Aliza but hubby was never keen. But he likes Eliza - and we still kind of get our Elizabeth reference too.

If you want it to look a little less like the princess you could spell it Elisabeth or use Beth/ Eliza to still connect to that family name
