I am not planning on using it. It popped up on a baby name generator, and I just wondered how it's said. I haven't heard of it before.

Thank you Smile

I know it without the final 'e' and it was
Hill-duh-guard with slight emphasis on the first syllable.

FunnyInjury · 07/04/2020 14:12

Hilda-Guard is how I'd pronounce it in English Smile

BaronessBomburst · 07/04/2020 14:12

Hill- d- guard in English.
Or Hill-de-harder if I'm speaking Dutch.

DramaAlpaca · 07/04/2020 14:12

Hildygard, with the stress on the first syllable, would be the English way of pronouncing it.

GarlicSoup · 07/04/2020 14:12

Hill D guard?

HIll-Deh-Guard, the E in the middle there isn't silent, last E is silent. Not many have that name for those that want unike!

Penni2019 · 07/04/2020 17:32

Exactly, very good!

35andThriving · 07/04/2020 20:10

Yes, definitely on the more unusual side. Smile
