Hi all,

Just a bit of Monday morning lockdown fun!

What are your favourite names from outside of the top 100 and beyond for a girl and a boy?

1, 2, 3 - Go, go, go!

My faves are what my Dds are called

Nancy (was outside the top 100 when we chose it)
Frankie (not short for anything. Just as is.) she was almost going to be called Sally which is well outside the top 100

My daughter’s name - Lara- always seems to be just outside the top 100!

Boys is Flynn

Girls I always find harder. I looked after a lovely little girl called Arlie, which I though was pretty.

Whatsyourflava · 06/04/2020 11:33

I love sally @thismeansnothing - you never hear it anymore do you

CaffiSaliMali · 06/04/2020 11:33

Esyllt or Eira for a girl and Osian or Tomos for a boy.

I also really like Alys, Mari, Morwenna and Tesni for girls, and Alun, Aled, Taliesin and Aneirin for boys.

For non Welsh options probably Lyra for a girl and Edmund for a boy.

@whatsyourflava I know I love it cos you hardly here it but it's not too out there iyswim. But I had a section with her and when they lowered the screen as they got her out the first think I said was "she's not dainty enough to be a Sally" 🤣

Interesting question! Just looked at the names ranked 100 to 200 and these were my favourites. I liked many more of the girls’ names than the boys’.
