Do you like Serena or Ariana more as a first name?

I had a thread regarding choosing the name Ariana as a middle name for Serena, but I am now considering changing the first name to Ariana. What are your thoughts on each name as a first name, what do you prefer, Serena or Ariana? I personally prefer Serena but I love them both.

Ariana is too long, too closely linked to a pop star and has different pronunciations and will get Arianna spelling.

Thank you everyone for your feedback so far. I do worry about the association with Ariana Grande, which is why I've been keen to keep Serena as the first name. Is the association really bad? I am hoping that the craze will die down soon.

Both are beautiful names, though not ones I'd choose as I like short, neat names.

Serena Arianne flows better than Serena Ariana.

Ariana Serena flows nicely too.

serena is a fine name, classic, ageless, and beautiful meaning.
whereas ariana, unfortunatley will always be associated with a terrorist outrage, destruction.
