We keep coming back to Joah for a baby boy.

Also considering Jonah, which obviously is a bit more common.

Thoughts?

I love Jonah, not keen on Joah.

DramaAlpaca · 14/03/2020 19:45

I haven't heard of Joah. I'm not keen, tbh. It sounds like a blend of Joe and Noah Confused or a misspelling of the biblical name Joab.

I like Jonah better.

I know an adult Joah is a nice name but he said before meeting him people often assume it's a typo for Joan.

I prefer Jonah tbh

If you like Joah and Jonah have you also considered Jobe / Job and Josiah?

PlantPotting · 14/03/2020 20:11

Love Jonah
Not joah agree with PP people will continually mishear it as Noah - no thank!

Astronica · 15/03/2020 01:33

It's okay, not really my style I guess. I prefer Joel for similar sounds, or Micah.

Blursula · 15/03/2020 17:16

@17caterpillars1mouse you're the first I've heard of who knows one.

Have considered those other J names but don't like them as much - keep coming back to these two. Thanks for the suggestions!

Go with Jonah, as pp said Joah will be misheard as Noah and it also sounds a bit made up.
