Serious girls’ names

I’m pregnant again (after many losses and it’s early days so might not work out) and if it’s a girl I’d really like a strong and serious name - not one that ends in “ie” or “a” sounds, and nothing cutesy or frilly or floral.

Any thoughts? My son has a classic Irish name so one that would go with that would be nice.

Congratulations and fingers crossed. Niamh or Siobhan are both beautiful names

Hillary still ends in the “ie” sound...others are good!

I get you. I'm a fan of names like Katherine and Caroline and Rosamund and Rosalind. Think You could do worse actually than plough through some Shakespeare for strong girls names.
My DD's name doesn't have a diminutive 'ie' ending

Love Catherine and Caroline of the options so far. Also Alice but can’t use that one. Keep them coming!

I’m not sure how serious some of those are but they mostly come out of Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls so they are at least associated with women of a achievement and pioneers.
