Sorry for all the posts lately!

What do you think of Merryn for Sylvie’s sister?

The power of Christ compels you!!!

It’s very Cornish.

I find I dont really have an opinion on it.

putputput · 11/03/2020 08:00

We have one, have had nothing but really positive remarks and I adore her name, it suits her completely. Easy to pronounce and spell. Most people assume it's a welsh name. Have only met two others, one in her seventies and a 10 year old.

GrannyBags · 11/03/2020 08:02

I love it. I taught a lovely Merryn. Her friends called her Merry and it really suited her personality

Tempjob · 11/03/2020 08:07

Absolutely beautiful

Glowcat · 11/03/2020 08:08

It’s a pretty name. It’s not a name I’ve heard before and is very uncommon but it doesn’t feel like a ‘new’ name IYSWIM. It fits very well with Sylvie.

Chirpychirpy3 · 11/03/2020 08:09

I love Merryn. Go for it

Mummyeyes · 11/03/2020 08:11

Gorgeous!

EssentialHummus · 11/03/2020 08:11

I really like it.

Sleepysnoozysnooze · 11/03/2020 08:11

Game of Thrones fan here and Merryn Trent is first thing that popped into my head! Not a pleasant man 😊
I wonder is it a Cornish (?) version of Muireann (an Irish name)? It's a lovely name, but Game of Thrones male character was my first thought...

megletthesecond · 11/03/2020 08:12

I know one. It's a great name.

boredboredboredboredbored · 11/03/2020 08:45

Love it!

autumnkate · 11/03/2020 10:14

I really like it and know an 8 year old Merryn

emmathedilemma · 11/03/2020 10:15

Is it Cornish? I know 2 in Scotland! I really like it and the ones I know are lovely :)

SinkGirl · 11/03/2020 10:15

My friend has a Merryn and I like it

tiredanddangerous · 11/03/2020 10:17

I really like it but I don’t like Merry as a nickname.

Double3xposure · 11/03/2020 10:18

It’s lovely .

Rainbowqueeen · 11/03/2020 10:20

Love it

KurtansCurtains · 11/03/2020 10:27

There's a St Merryn's in Cornwall, I think.

I like it though.

Shookethtothecore · 11/03/2020 10:30

I love it

ChessieFL · 11/03/2020 10:31

I like it but the only one I know of is a boy! I did always think it sounded more of a girl’s name though (had never come across it until I met him).

MikeUniformMike · 11/03/2020 10:53

Not keen.

DoctorBambino · 11/03/2020 11:03

Not keen at all, but seems popular here!

YellowSlipper · 11/03/2020 11:06

I think it goes really well with Sylvie.

Peachbubble · 11/03/2020 12:18

Love it and I think it goes well with Sylvie.
