Friso or Duco? Boy name...

Hello, we are Dutch people living in the USA. We consider two (Dutch) boy names. Which one do you prefer? Friso or Duco? And what do you think if you hear the name? I know probably you don’t like both. Thanks

Out of those two, Friso.

Friso makes me think of crisps and Duco makes me think of laxatives!

Out the two I’d choose Friso

I like both but would choose Duco

Friso sounds like a salad leaf.

I have to say neither sounds like a great option, sorry.

Friso sounds like a product, crisps or frying oil. Also, how is it pronounced? I read it as 'Free-zo'. Others might say Friss-oh. So that's a potential issue.

Duco sounds Italian to me and again like a product, too much like the word Duct. It's not a very nice sound and it can only really be shortened to Duck or Dook.

Its nice to choose Dutch names but they are not familiar in USA so your child might be teased

If you're living somewhere quite diverse I can't see why either would get teased.. (not that I know anything about American schools!)

Oh either will be fine. I prefer Duco but both are nice.
I'm from the States, born to foreign parents and I have a crazy name that nobody can even pronounce... anywhere in the world.
I survived and nobody teased me.
Duco and Friso are quite straight-forward names and unique. Go with the one you're more drawn to.
