I've taking a real liking to the name Libby, not short for anything just Libby as a stand alone name, what do you think?

I don’t like it. It doesn’t sound very nice when spoken.

Was one of my fave choices but dh didn't like it.
I would go for Liberty nn Libby personally as I'd be worried Elizabeth could get turned into Liz, Lizzy, Beth or Betty all of which I dislike.

DramaAlpaca · 07/03/2020 14:44

I like Libby a lot, but personally I'd use it as a diminutive of Elizabeth.

BobbyBlueCat · 07/03/2020 14:51

It's a nice nickname.

Horrid as a name on a birth certificate.

I thought it was short for Liberty... do prefer full name on bc but it's ok...

Sorry, I'm an Elizabeth - I really dislike Libby. Sounds really babyish and reminds me of Libby Kennedy on Neighbours!
