What do you think of this name?

Love the name, and I love the poem, "Pippa's Song," by Robert Browning.

But I don't live in the UK, and the name carries no connotations for me.

I like it, only if the name is Philippa then shortened to Pippa. Then the child has the choice what they wish to be called as they get older.
My son has a name like that where he uses the long version in some situations and the short version with other people, so having the choice is important I believe.

Pippa is a sweet name, I love it.

The full name is so much better. What if your child doesn’t want a nickname for their name. Call her Philippa and then shorten it.

No, I prefer Phil as a shortening for Philippa. Pippa sounds so wannabe posh.
