OH and I think we have finally settled on a name, however it's quite uncommon so I was hoping for some opinions please :) our surname starts with an "L" and is 3 syllables long (so fairly long!) The name is

Eron Mathew James

What do you think?
Thank you x

@MikeUniformMike why would I do that? 🤨

I've got a name that has multiple spellings. It is a pain in the ass OP. I'm 51, and wish my parents had named me something with no variation. Constantly along the lines of: How are you spelling that? Or, Is that Aaron? Or, Did you say Eron? Is that Eeron? Hello can I speak to Aaron please. Oh you're a woman, that's an unusual name. It's a daily occurrence.

Herons are amazing.

@MikeUniformMike thanks for your input

I don’t care for Eron - neither does my phone - autocorrected to Enron then Erin then Eros....Matthew and James are perfectly lovely

MikeUniformMike · 26/02/2020 20:18

It's actually a serious suggestion. I really like it.
Wren, Linnet and Lark are often suggested but a heron is so striking.

Whatsyourflava · 26/02/2020 20:29

Eric is a great name. Or Aaron.

Don’t like Eron - the scenario above described by @gokartdillydilly would be a regular occurrence and would annoy me x

Too much like Erin
