Siyana or Liana?

How do you pronounce Siyana?

Liana is a pretty name, works for any age and probably easier to explain than Siyana

I used to nanny for a little liana (spelt leanna) and she was the sweetest kid. I’ve loved it since ! Is siyana like see-Anna? I fear it would always be mispronounced sienna seems like a safer choice

I like different names but would worry about pronunciation on both.

How do they sound?

See-ya-na it’s a name with Arabic origin meaning protection
We like it because it’s more unique than sienna

I think both are equally pretty but Liana seems to be a bit more easier to spell compared to Siyana so for that reason I’m leaning more towards Liana.

I like both but agree you might be in for a lot of mispronunciations with Siyana.

I think the assumption maybe that it’s just a misspelling of Sienna. Would that annoy you too much?

And they both have non-obvious spelling and a few different ways of saying them.

Is Liana pronounced Lee-Anna or Lie-Anna or Li-Arna or Lee-Arna because this greatly effects my choice?

Liana - I would pronounce - Lee-arn-ah

Prefer Liana. Not too keen on Siyana, do you have Arabic connections?
