One syllable quirky names

This is very cliche but I fell in love with the name 'Love' from season 2 of You on Netflix. I wouldn't use this name but it made me realise that my favourite type of names are one syllable.

We love the name Grace but possibly as a middle name. Nothing else has really caught our attention, if you have any ideas please share them :) boy and girl names TIA

LOVE the names

  • Storm
  • Wolf

I'm having a girl but if I was having a boy I probably would of really pushed for the name "Wolf" (as OH wasn't keen). Storm is a name I also love but only heard of it recently & we have chose our little girls name and already bought personalised things for her. So it's definitely sticking. If we had another little girl, Storm would probably be up there in my top 5.

Why are people suggesting two or three syllable names when the OP asked for one syllable names?!

fishonabicycle · 12/02/2020 17:57

They don't the the fucking thread. Sigh.

@Wakeover as an English teacher, that’s what I was most afraid about!

MikeUniformMike · 12/02/2020 18:04

@NameChange84, don't you mean 'afraid of'?

NameChange84 · 12/02/2020 18:20

@MikeUniformMike

I was afraid about posters getting to adulthood without a grasp of what a syllable is. That would indicate that their experience of English teaching had been lacking, to say the least.

I’m not literally afraid of that situation or the adults who do not know what a syllable is. Neither sentence is grammatically incorrect but, imo, they subtly infer different meanings.
