Is Autumn too unusual?

I love this name for a girl (due in Sept) but worried it's just a bit too 'out there.'
Thoughts?

It’s pretty

The idea of it is nicer than the name itself. Think of the sounds.

"Orr" - harsh.
"Tum" - ugly.

I love it!

I think the reason people don’t use Spring is because it’s a different word in its own right with a different meaning.

I like it Smile

@DomTH I’m suprised you say people have acted “confused/slightly amused” when you’ve told them the name. Is it an older generation by any chance or is it people without kids? It’s just once you join baby groups and things you realise how mad names have got since the 80s! Massive generalisation but a lot of people regret playing it so safe with their baby name once they meet Fox and Wolf at playgroup. (I must admit I love a classic name like Emma or Edward though and would never see a name like that as boring)

I really like it. But I met a toddler Summer once and her mum told me her name almost apologetically, she seemed embarrassed by it. I think season names are great but if you think it's a bit "out there" I'd be tempted to pick something else. Even though I love them I wouldn't be brave enough to use one (I am VERY boring and conventional Wink).

Love it!

Love the name. It is my favourite season too.
