Thoughts on Riva?

Saw it recently on a TV show and can't stop thinking about it. Have seen it spelt Reeva before but never seen Riva (pronounced Reeva). I don't mind either spelling tbh. We're haven't found out the sex so have a (long) list of boys and girls names to pick from but Riva has really stood out to both of us.

That’s what I thought off. Rivas are lovely boats but as a name it’s a bit like calling a boy Bentley.

Riva is a lovely town on Lake Garda in Italy which is pronounced Reeva.
I like it.

There is a very cheesy nightclub I've been to called Riva. So a no from me.

I seem to remember the advert for the Riva chocolate bar having the tagline "Never let a man get his hands on your Riva", and being fronted by Lily Savage. So that's what I think of now, I'm afraid.

I would pronounce Riva as Reeva, however, not River

I knew a Riva ages ago. Pronounced Reeva. Nice.

I went to school with a Riva (pronounced Reeva). No one mispronounced it AFAIK. Now I'd think of the Pistorius association though.

My daughters middle name is Reva, how about swapping the first vowel if you want Reeva pronunciation?

Riva is so cool. I read it as Reeva not river.

I read Reeva and Riva the same. Beautiful name, but sadly I don't think it's useable because of the association with Pistorius.

I can't see why there'd ever be any issue with pronunciation....Riva is exactly the same as diva or viva.

My Dad had a Lada Riva. It's actually quite a pretty name.

Reeve is lovely.

Riva reminds me of The Witcher. Like Geralt of Rivia, but it's spelt wrong.
