Or Hepzibah

Nice?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I like it, because it reminds of reading Carrie's War, many years ago. I agree with PP comments re medical sounding possible shortenings,
though.
I like Hester more, again because of liking the book character.
I haven't ever named a girl, but also don't like the 'simpering' 'E/A' names.
I LOVE Angharad.

Peony99 · 24/01/2020 17:27

Love it. And PP's suggestion of Tzipporah (though I'd spell it without the T)

Tillygetsit · 24/01/2020 23:40

I know a fabulous one who we call Zib so I love it.

JoHarrison · 24/01/2020 23:48

Love it! Are you brave enough though?

TatianaLarina · 24/01/2020 23:57

Like it. I know a cool Hepzibah. She is Zi for short.

Also like Bathsheba.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 25/01/2020 09:16

Unless you're upper upper class can you honestly hand on heart imagine shouting that across the park witht getting some erm strange looks.

Hepzibar · 25/01/2020 18:38

Er excuse me. Hepzibar is a lovely name.

My mother loved 7 Brides for 7 bothers. Millie carried on from their mother "Hannah, Hagar or Hepzibah?". He chose Hannah

BirdieFriendReturns · 25/01/2020 19:26

Or Bathsheba from Thomas Hardy?

I’m actually an Hon. so perhaps I am posh enough to carry it off? Blush

So am I as it happens Wine

By MN lore that means we can call our kids what we like. Not everyone is allowed apparently.

VerbenaGirl · 25/01/2020 20:49

I have always loved this name. Put it on my list, but DH just wouldn’t have it. Could be shortened to Heppy or Zizzi maybe. Go for it!

Batqueen · 27/01/2020 11:42

Bathsheba! Yessss!

17caterpillars1mouse · 27/01/2020 14:31

PlomBear · 05/02/2020 19:54

Awful, very ugly name. Eppie reminds me of epileptic.
