That is quite a diverse list of names!

Clover is terrible, sorry, it's a cow's name.

Isadora is rather wonderful and 100x more sophisticated than Clover.

I really like Cleo, Emmeline's nice too.

Libby short for Elizabeth is fine. Not keen on its own,

Coral is a bookmaker and part of that set of semi-precious stone names e.g. Amber and Jade, that might once have seemed rare and lovely but quickly became the opposite through overuse. Despite Coral not being heavily used, it does have that association.

I like Nell but not Nellie = 'not on your nelly!', rude word.

CinderEmma · 22/01/2020 16:29

Clover is a beautiful name

Love Isadora and Emmeline.
Really dislike Clover and Cleo.
Nellie is ok but it's a bit 'celeb'.

lottiegarbanzo · 22/01/2020 17:02

Oh yes, Nell as a nn for Eleanor is good. Otherwise what, Petronella? Prunella?

Ri123 · 22/01/2020 17:19

I did think about some of these names being more of a nickname. I'm not sure about using a longer name on the birth certificate because she might end up being known by that name when I don't like it as much as the nn. I like Liberty though

Clover is a pretty name but completely just makes me think of butter

AlpacaGoodnight · 29/01/2020 20:01

Love Coral!

Skyejuly · 30/01/2020 15:02

My name is on the list but my fave is Isadora which is one of my DD names.

Mollie3 · 30/01/2020 22:18

Isadora
Orla
Emmeline
Coral

Love these names I think Coral in particular is so underrated

pilates · 30/01/2020 22:22

Love Emmeline

Laquila · 30/01/2020 22:33

You might like Coraline or Corinna? (There's a lovely Dylan song called Corinna, Corinna)

From your list I love Emmeline and Orla. Libby is quite popular now and I know one Isadora and one Nelly (spelled like that). Personally I prefer Nell.

Clover is sweet and will probably get shortened to Clo. (It probably won't matter to you but Klo is German slang for loo.)

Other suggestions - Althea, Theodora, Adeline, Kitty, Simone, Lucinda.

Whatsyourflava · 31/01/2020 13:05

Really love the name Cleo

How about Roxanne/Roxanna? Clementine? Margaret? Edith ? Jemima?

Krazynights34 · 31/01/2020 13:11

Like them all except Clover and Coral..

Emmeline was on my list
And Isadora is gorgeous

notalwaysalondoner · 31/01/2020 14:23

Isadora - it’s ok, reminds me of the 90s tv show “Isadora, we adore her” and will be shortened to Izzy
Clover - quite pretty
Libby - I’d prefer to call her Elizabeth or Olivia with Libby for short, it’s a nickname to me
Cleo - don’t like
Raine - don’t like
Nellie - same as Libby, I’d call her Helen, Eleanor, Cornelia or similar and use Nellie as her day to day name
Orla - like it a lot
Emmeline - very old fashioned and a bit of a mouthful. Would you call her Emma? Lina?
Coral - love it, classy and underused, slightly prefer Cora

Wheresthebiffer2 · 31/01/2020 16:12

Clover and Daisy are names of cows.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 31/01/2020 16:16

Love Isadora. Either Izzy or Dora are both fabulous.

mathanxiety · 31/01/2020 16:39

Love Cleo, Isadora, and Nellie.

victoria0132 · 31/01/2020 18:46

Love Emmeline nn Emmy.
Isadora is okay but there are lots of Izzys if it gets shortened
Libby is lovely, especially if Elizabeth is on the birth certificate
Raine is okay but might get misspelled

A couple of those names could cause teasing:

Nellie the elephant
Orla like orca the whale
Clover the cow
Cleo like the car
Coral is awful

JollyGiraffe12 · 31/01/2020 21:57

Great list! The only ones I don’t like are Raine and Orla. Emmeline is my favourite!
