Or ‘Jole’ to rhyme with ‘sole’, ‘role’, etc.?

I think I probably say Joe'l, somewhere between Jole and Joe-ul

I grew up in the days of Noel's House Party and I'm pretty sure everyone pronounced his name No-ul, not Nole. I can't find any video of his name actually being said though.
