I absolutely love this name, think I prefer Jocelin spelling though it's much more uncommon so not sure. I pronounce the name Joss-uh-lin but don't mind Joss-lin either.

Thoughts? Do you know any? I like Joss as a nn, less keen on Josie

I know it's a traditionally male name, but I like it on a girl

Josceline.
Nice but I'm not keen on your spellings.
It's fine as a girl's name - I know one and she gets called Joss.

Whynosnowyet · 18/01/2020 12:18

Dd's friend is Josslin..

zelbazinnamon · 18/01/2020 12:34

I know a Jocelyn who is called Josie.

SaorsaSolasta · 18/01/2020 14:58

I like Jocelyn, I really don't like the look of the other spellings and I think if you went with a more unusual spelling it might be misspelt a lot. I've only ever seen it spelt Jocelyn. To me Joss seems a more natural shortening than JosieSmile

Joycelyn, Jocelin reads like a medicine

I prefer Jocelyn, I don't like the look of the other spellings. Nice name, I would probably shorten to Joss.

Wheresthebiffer2 · 18/01/2020 22:00

I know one female Jocelyn who is aged 50+

I do like the name, though it is similar to Joyce, which I dislike.

RuthW · 18/01/2020 22:17

Love it

CakeRattleandRoll · 19/01/2020 04:55

Really like it, but would definitely spell it Jocelyn.

JolieOBrien · 19/01/2020 04:59

A bit old fashioned but older names are coming back now.

boredboredboredboredbored · 19/01/2020 05:00

Jocelyn without a doubt

PenelopeFlintstone · 19/01/2020 05:14

Jocelyn 💯

Menubar · 19/01/2020 06:04

Jocelyn reminds me of 'jostling'. Love Joss though.

BoomZahramay · 19/01/2020 06:54

Jocelyn would be my default spelling.

WildCherryBlossom · 19/01/2020 07:00

I love the name Jocelyn (with this spelling). I know two girls with the same. One is known as Joss.

sel2223 · 19/01/2020 09:11

It's the name of someone i don't really like so that clouds my judgement a bit but, if you like it, the spelling jocelyn is so much nicer

Astronica · 19/01/2020 09:42

I'm not keen on it.

BlueChampagne · 20/01/2020 12:57

I like it too.

Pollyanna789 · 21/01/2020 11:08

I love it.
I know two under twelve.
One spelt Joslyn and one Jocelyn.
Shortened to Josie and Jossie.

faithinnature1 · 21/01/2020 11:10

I really don't think it's very nice sorry. It sounds harsh, doesn't come out easily and is old fashioned. Can't see it having a revival

Cindie943811A · 22/01/2020 23:24

Jocelin is the older spelling - auto correct just changed that to Jocelyn!
I actually prefer the older spelling but each to his own.
Was a male name but nowadays it’s regarded as too girly for a boy, rather like Evelyn.
I love it and it has a freshness about it

CatkinToadflax · 23/01/2020 10:29

I was at school with a Jocelyne - I think that’s how she spelt it. Known as Jos.
