English or British - ie are you interested in Welsh, Irish, Scottish names?

Look at kings - Edward, Henry, James, Charles, William, George, Rufus, Alfred, Harold, Geoffrey, Albert, David, Arthur....

emile does not sound british at all, let alone classic british. is French.

Good point, that's my English privilege thinking we're the centre of the world, that said am open to names like Fraser but prob not any Alwyn's. Love the king names.

Emile - I would write it Emil (like Emil and the Detectives). Doesn't strike me as being British. I wouldn't use it as a first name because Emily and Emilia are so popular
Harold is a king's name.
Classic names - Royal Family is usually a safe bet, but not Archie. Philip, Andrew, Charles etc
New Testament names - Matthew, Mark, Luke, (John,), Timothy.
Saint Names - Francis, Patrick, George, David, etc
Literature names - Dickens, Shakespeare, etc
Historical names - notable people from Politics, Engineering, Architecture etc.
