I’m currently 35 weeks and team yellow so need boys and girls names. Would like opinions on our girls list or suggestions. Dd1 is named Cora and would like something that sounds ok with her name and nothing too popular. On our list at the moment is;

Adeline
Honor
Dulcie
Tabitha
Cecily
Arabelle
Clementine (Ohs choice but I’m not sure).
Sylvie

Honor and Cecily are my favourites from that list, but I also like Tabitha.

I prefer Arabella to Arabelle and Sylvia to Sylvie. Don't like Dulcie or Adeline at all. Clementine is okay.

CatteStreet · 05/01/2020 19:59

Dulcie 'goes' best; Cecily is my favourite. I love Sylvia, but (oddly) don't warm at all to Sylvie.

17caterpillars1mouse · 05/01/2020 20:04

Adeline - I quite like it, and like nn Addie, but Ada is definitely on the rise so I would worry Adeline will be too. I prefer Adelaide

Honor - dislike it
Dulcie - hate it
Tabitha - nice enough just not for me
Cecily - love it
Arabelle - I like it but spelt Arabel
Clementine (Ohs choice but I’m not sure). - it's growing on me I think. Is it - teen or tine?
Sylvie - love it

AlpacaGoodnight · 05/01/2020 20:33

Tabotha has always been one of my favourite names and I think it goes perfectly with Cora

Militantmartha · 05/01/2020 20:43

Like Tabitha and Cecily the most from your list

username1724 · 05/01/2020 21:19

Love Arabelle
Then Adeline followed by Cecily
Not keen on the rest

Whatsyourflava · 05/01/2020 21:34

LOVE Clementine! You’re so lucky your OH likes it!! I begged DH for this name.

I also like Arabelle and Sylvie

Hate Cecily. Too much of a harsh S to it. Would hate it to be my name. Sounds too much like Silly as well

Stayingstrong24 · 05/01/2020 21:47

I love Adeline (Adel- line), and also Adelina (Adel-eena).
I also like Cecily.

Buttercup54321 · 05/01/2020 21:51

Only like Tabitha.
Cora and Amelia
Cora and Heidi
Cora and Dorothy
Cora and Verity
Cora and Vera
Cora and Angela

raeray · 05/01/2020 22:24

Out of your list I like Adeline best (love Cora too!)
How about Sadie or Hope?

curlymumof8 · 05/01/2020 22:36

i love the name evangeline or rose. vivienne and sienna are also beautiful names

Poorolddaddypig · 05/01/2020 22:40

Sylvie is beautiful and goes perfectly

lovelytobehere · 05/01/2020 22:44

Love Dulcie sounds rather cute and goes best. Hope all goes well

Tillygetsit · 05/01/2020 22:45

Adeline is my favourite on your list.

Chocolateandcarbs · 05/01/2020 22:48

I like Sylvie

Soawesome · 05/01/2020 23:07

Adeline - not keen. Don't like the potential nn's. Also would you say -een or -ine at the end? I think there would be pronunciation issues
Honor - I don't personally love it but it's nice and goes really well with Cora
Dulcie - not keen but I must admit it fits well
Tabitha - gorgeous
Cecily - gorgeous
Arabelle - don't like
Clementine (Ohs choice but I’m not sure) - I feel like this is one I should like but Clem is such an awful nn. And I dislike the marching beginning
Sylvie - nice

I would go for Tabitha or Cecily, probably Tabitha just to avoid the same initials.

Rabbit600 · 06/01/2020 00:16

Not sure about Honor. If I met a child with that name I would be confused whether to spell it with the U or not.

When I first heard Dulcie, I didn't like it. But it has grown on my now. I still wouldn't pick it, but I don't hate it.

To me, Tabitha is a cats name! Sorry!

I don't totally love Cecily or Arabelle or Adeline. I once knew a girl names Arabella though and that suited her.

Clementine is lovely. It's on my list. I'd put it with the middle name Rose. There is actually a children's book called Clementine Rose.

I do quite like Sylvie! Reminds me of Muzzy for some reason. Was there a Sylvie in that?

Rabbit600 · 06/01/2020 00:20

I disagree with someone above. I think Clem is a lovely nickname. You could have Clemmie as well.

MopsRUs · 06/01/2020 00:24

I like Cecily, Arabelle and Clementine.

Cecilia
Annabel
Arabella
Elsie
Cassia
Anneliese
Sophia
Caroline
Imogen
Lucy
Natalia
Delta
Heidi
Francesca
Susannah
Isabella
Ivy
Melissa
Coralie

MopsRUs · 06/01/2020 00:24

Oops, not Coralie as you have a Cora already!

Tweetyone · 06/01/2020 00:37

I like Sylvie, I also like Catalina or Amber

Peachbubble · 06/01/2020 07:30

I like Tabitha, Arabelle and Clementine. Prefer Arabella to Arabelle though.

Enwi · 06/01/2020 07:55

Another who prefers Arabella to Arabelle (biased as the former is my daughter’s name Grin)
Love Adeline, Cecily and quite like Clementine.
Really don’t like Dulce or Honor.

Do you like Ottilie, Beatrice, Theodora or Cecilia?

Adelais · 06/01/2020 09:24

Thanks everyone. I’m finding it so hard to pick a favourite! Oh doesn’t seem so keen on Tabitha so that may be out.
I think Honor, Dulcie or Cecily might be my top 3 though I know a lot of people aren’t keen on Dulcie.

I like Clem and Clemmie as a nickname for Clementine as I don’t think I’d use the full name much and people might not pronounce it how I prefer.

I like Ottilie from the suggestions too but think it might get pronounced different ways.

I like Clementine, Tabitha and Sylvie. For Cora's sister I like Sylvie best.
