Hi! Trying to pick a name for our impending arrival and I think we have narrowed it down to 2.... would love to know which is your favourite and why (but no bashing please!) We already have an Arthur if that's relevant.

Enunciating!!**

Yes 🤣I wish people could tell the difference, even though my Rowan is a girl she still gets muddled with the Roman’s at the baby group and I have to say “Rowan with a W”. I’ve had it at the hospital too last month 🙈

I wouldn’t have chosen the name if I’d realised this would have happened (plus I get really annoyed with the shortening to Row by my family members), but anyway it’s not the end of the world. 🤷‍♀️ I’ll just pick a less trendy name next time.

I think names like Arthur and Reuben appear more classic to me as those names have been in and out of the top 100 over history. Whereas Rowan and Roman have never once been in the top 100 names until the last couple of years and now RoMan is the fastest rising name so I do worry that this is a recipe for the names to date very quickly.... never to be used again. A Darren or Sharon type name. I’ve given my daughter 2 middle names though so she can always swop if she wants when she’s old enough to decide

I love Rowan. Not very keen on Rueben but I do think it goes better with Arthur

I'm not mad on Rowan but it goes better with Arthur.

Reuben is OK, but lots of people can't spell it.

Reuben is much nicer @Mamabear2020

So fed up of all these trendy babies called RoMan, RoWan (know girls and a boy with this name), Roan, RoHan (tends to be children with Indian heritage), RoNan’s that keep popping up this year. I’m a teacher and it gives me a right headache thinking of having them all in a class 🤣

Puts my head in a right spin.

When there’s so many names - i would consider picking something else.

These names were all pretty unusual until this sudden boom. There’s a famous YouTuber Roman Atwood that seems to have played a part in Roman becoming so ubiquitous and 2018s fastest rising name! Not great associations with Roman Polanski though.
