Festive baby name help!

Hello everyone,

Looking for some urgent baby name help!

Our little girl unexpectedly arrived 3 weeks early just after midnight today.

We had chosen the name Eve (we just love it) Cairistìona (pronounced like Christina, family name) for her, but I feel like we can’t call a Christmas Eve baby Eve Cairistìona!

It’s important to us that we keep Cairistìona, but would you suggest changing Eve? And what to? The other name we loved was Merryn but we ruled that out because of the “Merry Christmas” thing, so I don’t feel we can use that.

I like Meg (but not Megan) or maybe Wren (too out there?) We’d prefer something quite short and simple because of the long complicated middle name.

She is teeny and very dark-haired and olive-skinned (she is quite jaundiced though).

Anything else we might like please, and any thoughts on Meg or Wren?

Ps. I prefer Eve to Wren or Meg - stick with your name definitely

Mamabear88 · 24/12/2019 17:48

Keep Eve. It's a gorgeous name and most people won't know her middle name / birthday anyway. I much prefer it to your other choices. And like others have said, it's more fitting. Meant to be :) Congrats and happy xmas xx

Baby photo or I don't believe you Wink

PsychosonicCindy · 24/12/2019 18:02

Stick with Eve it's beautiful. I did my family tree recently and an ancestor of mine born on Christmas day was actually named Christmas!
Congratulations xx

daisypond · 24/12/2019 18:32

Yes, stick with Eve.

MissingSilence · 24/12/2019 18:41

That seems like fate to me - I would keep the name you planned too!

yellowallpaper · 24/12/2019 18:44

Your original name is lovely. Don't change it

youwereagoodcakeclyde · 24/12/2019 18:54

I’d stick with Eve, it’s lovely.
It’s not very Christmassy and I think it is perfect that she was born today, honestly.

I know a woman called Santa and a Holly and a Noël. Those are very Christmassy!

youwereagoodcakeclyde · 24/12/2019 18:57

Sorry, just read your update! Also Congratulations!

Jj2431 · 24/12/2019 19:46

As everyone else has said..if anything, Eve is the perfect choice now. I'd do it. It's lovely.

LarkDescending · 24/12/2019 21:04

Was ever a name more fitting? It’s perfect - congratulations! Xmas Smile

GrumpyHoonMain · 24/12/2019 21:05

If you don’t want Eve (I think it’s beautiful) what about Eveline or Evangeline?

theSnuffster · 24/12/2019 21:19

I think Eve is perfect. Congratulations.

Greyhound22 · 24/12/2019 21:20

Eve is lovely. I think it's even more special that she was born on Christmas Eve.

dancemom · 24/12/2019 21:24

Eve is lovely or even Eva

Congratulations

MissSmiley · 24/12/2019 21:31

Congratulations, I do know someone who called their baby Neve (born into New Year's Eve) and regretted it

Astronica · 25/12/2019 04:06

I'm another who thinks it's beautiful and meaningful rather than gimmicky! So glad you're keeping it - congratulations!
