Elise or Imogen

I don't like Allegra (also autocorrect to allergy!) or Alicia

jent85 · 22/12/2019 14:31

I love Freja and Elise 💕
You have a cracking list there though, none I dislike.... not very helpful I know x

DramaAlpaca · 22/12/2019 14:32

Saskia or Imogen.

I also quite like Honor, but only spelled that way.

Spied · 22/12/2019 14:35

Imogen
Alicia and Elisa are verging on 'common' imo.
I've also never met a nice Alicia.

TiffyM · 22/12/2019 14:35

Thanks jent85 Smile that's given me confidence. X

Imogen! Lovely name, not overused, straightforward spelling and pronunciation as well as a range of abbreviations e.g. Immy, Imo, Mo, Jen, Jenny.

mondler · 22/12/2019 15:01

I love Imogen. We started thinking of names early on, felt like less pressure. As we gotta nearer we had a short list of about 4 which we still liked. In the hospital we had it down to 2 and after he was born we took a few days to decide which suited him best. Good luck xx

custardbear · 22/12/2019 15:03

Don't like Inez or Allegra (reminds me if algebra as well as the old car the Austin Allegra, and I also think Vanessa feltz has a daughter with that name too .. all put me off!)

Others are nice - I had Imogen and Saskia on my list for my second child ... he's called Cameron 😆

MikeUniformMike · 22/12/2019 15:10

Get it moved to Baby names.

Alicia - I pronounce this Al-isha, rhymes with Patricia. Others say it Alissia, others Aleesha. too complicated
Allegra - lovely
Honour - It's Honor. Watch the surname .
Inez - nice
Elise - not keen. too similar to Elsie. Too many El names. Lotus Elise etc.
Saskia - lovely
Freja - Freya too popular. People will say it as Fredge-a
Imogen - ok. not keen on Immy

NationMcKinley · 22/12/2019 15:13

@custardbear the fabulous Vanessa Feltz also has a daughter called Saskia.........

OP I love Imogen and Saskia. I really like Elisa, not so keen on Elise. Congratulations!

dylan

PlantPotting · 22/12/2019 15:14

Imogen is my favourite from your list. It’s underused now in my view, no where near as common as it used to be 10 years ago. This is backed by by the official statistics too but also There’s none in my area around my daughters age (10 months)

PlantPotting · 22/12/2019 15:15

Freja is also gorgeous but I’d spell it Freya

Madhatterhouse · 22/12/2019 15:17

Honor

ThinkPink71 · 22/12/2019 15:18

Alicia- love this makes me think of a beautiful tanned child
Allegra- dislike...only because I dont get it
Honour- no
Inez- no
Elise- like this...nice name for a cute girl
Saskia- reminds me of a porn star name...not sure why lol
Freja- Its okay...maybe abit overused?
Imogen- love this...makes me think of a really pretty girl

AryaNoOne · 22/12/2019 15:24

I love Alicia but pronounced Alissia not Aleesha and (whichever version you prefer) I think it will often be pronounced “wrong” so it came off our list.

Freja and Imogen are both lovely though I agree with PPs that there are a lot of Freyas.

PlantPotting · 22/12/2019 15:27

Imogen has always been one of my very favourite girls’ names and so different to other names ❤️

IVflytrap · 22/12/2019 15:31

Honour or Saskia

I have ancestors who spelt their name Honour, but Honor seems to be the more accepted spelling theses days.

bridgetreilly · 22/12/2019 15:34

Honor, Imogen or Elise.

I think I like Imogen best of those three.

WildCherryBlossom · 22/12/2019 15:49

It's a beautiful list. I prefer the spelling Ines (slightly softer). Imogen is the most popular I think, but still not heavily overused. There are 2 girls called Saskia at my DCs primary school but I think that is probably an unusual concentration as I can't think of any others. I never meet little Allegras and it is beautiful.

Mumma4262 · 22/12/2019 16:10

Elise is beautiful.

Rumbelow · 22/12/2019 16:13

I love Saskia, Honor (spelt like this) and Inez.

How about Ingrid?

AlpacaGoodnight · 22/12/2019 20:03

Saskia or Alicia

Modernhistorybuff · 22/12/2019 22:08

Alicia - I like this if it's Alissia but not Aleesha
Allegra - don't like
Honour - like it spelt Honor but not with the u
Inez - not keen
Elise - really not keen
Saskia - lovely
Freja - prefer it spelt Freya
Imogen - lovely

Saskia then Imogen then Honor for me...

RoseMartha · 22/12/2019 22:28

Top three of your names for me are:

Honor
Sakia
Elise
