Love Lyla....
Nala I like but would have pronounced it Nala as in Carla. To have most people pronounce it how you prefer I think you'd have to spell it Nayla

Rezaminelli · 17/12/2019 01:17

Actually now I've said Nayla... People in my city say "nail her" if they want to shag someone Blush

Ibloodylovewomen · 17/12/2019 01:24

Nuala?

ilovechocolatebiscuits · 17/12/2019 01:24

Everyone would pronounce Nala, Nah-La. She will have a life time of correcting people

My favourites are Elvie, Bonnie and Lyla.

I like Millie a lot and Millicent is cute, and like Winter but not Winnie.

Cece, Missi and Leni work well as nicknames but not as the full name I think, eg nns for (Cece) Cecily, Cecilia, Celia, (Missi) Millicent, Miriam,(Leni) Madeleine, Helena, Eleanor.

CatteStreet · 17/12/2019 03:12

The only one I like is Millicent (but not keen on Millie). Cecy is nice as short for Cecily, but not Cece. The rest are varying degrees of not good. some of them are rather country and western. I do think you and I have v different tastes, though.

PlantPotting · 17/12/2019 05:13

Yeh I think we have different tastes too

Quite like Bonnie but not keen on rest

Potential suggestions but not sure you’ll like them:

Imogen
Sadie
Edith / Edie
Margaret /Maggie
Clementine/ Clemmie
Roxanne/Roxanna
Pearl
Delilah
Ottilie (Ottie)
Cora
Eliza
River
Winter
Jemima
Holly

LarkDescending · 17/12/2019 07:20

Like pp I thought of Sadie - also maybe Marnie, Romy, Sylvie?

IckleBear · 17/12/2019 08:07

I like Remi and suggestion of Romy.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 17/12/2019 08:40

Like Leni

MrsNoMopp · 17/12/2019 09:51

Millicent, Leni and Winter are nice.

Elspeth
Stella
Leah
Marissa
Josie
Cara
Rachel
Lucy
Freya
Amber

chloxox08 · 17/12/2019 17:25

I love Lyla and Remi out of your list Smile

daisypond · 17/12/2019 17:38

Your names are too nicknamey and cutesy for me. Tallulah and Winter are best. None of the others. Maybe Myla.

diddlediddle · 17/12/2019 18:12

Myla - underwear brand
Cece - short for something it's nice, on its own it's insubstantial. Cecelia?
Millicent/Millie - not keen on either
Remi - boys name
Winnie/Winter - like winter
Missi - sweet nickname if short for something?
Tallulah - lovely
Elvie - it's the name of a vaginal pelvic floor toner
Lyla - ok
Bebe - french name for baby?! No
Bonnie - ok
Leni - nice but better as a nickname, lots of options for longer names for this
Nala (nay-la) - people will pronunciations it Nah la, which is nicer IMO

20viona · 17/12/2019 18:16

I like remi Lyla and myla from your list.
Iv got a Lana but I'm biased lol.

miahadalittlelamb · 17/12/2019 18:27

Sorry dislike all names!

bridgetreilly · 17/12/2019 21:49

Most of these are nicknames. I really would think about giving her a name which gives her some options as she grows up. She might love the cutesy nickname and stick with it, but she might not, in which case it's good to have choices.

nowaypose · 17/12/2019 22:59

Tallulah is cool.

NobdieTheNob · 17/12/2019 23:05

I know and very dearly love a Cecily. She is known as Cece, Ces, Cecil, etc. It's a lovely name.

I'm not keen on the other names on your list. They're either a bit nicknamey or a bit stripperish.

Persephione · 18/12/2019 00:31

Cece is really pretty but my favourite from your list is Winnie, have you considered Winika as a longer form instead of Winter?
I love the idea behind Elvie and its super cute but when I say it in my head immediately go to those old LV car insurance adverts :S

Mollie3 · 18/12/2019 21:10

I like Tallulah
Agree it’s a pretty cool name
Sounds a bit Hawian but perhaps that’s just me I’m thinking Aloha

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 18/12/2019 21:19

I love Leni. My friend called her daughter this and it's fab. Strong, cool, edgy for a grown up and cute as hell for a kiddy Smile
